DIY Loft Full Size Bed – Loft beds are the good solution for small room. Loft beds is save a large enough space, without sacrificing comfort and balance your room. Although many loft beds are double size with a full size bed it is best for one person or a couple looking for more sleeping space.

Cut four 2-b-8-by-96-inch boards on both sides of the rail measuring 80 inches long and two end rail measuring 56 inches long to build a loft full size bed. Divide eight boards 2 by 4 by 120 – inch wooden slats 10 which measure 56 inches long, four rungs of the ladder that measure 59 inches long and a center of the support beam measuring 77 inches long. Create a butt joint by placing the perpendicular end rails to the side rails, flush with the ends to form a rectangle yet. Secure each set with five countersunk screws 3 inches.

To build loft full size bed apply strong wood glue to the inner surface of each slat cleat support and hold them inside the frame, at least 2 inches from the bottom. When the glue sets, secure it with a screw 3 inches placed every 6 inches. Screw the central support beam in place in the middle of the bed with 4 – inch screws. Place the slats through fastening systems, evenly spaced, and nail them in place with 3 – inch nails. Nail plywood sheets over the slats with 2 – inch nails. Turn the structure upside down and tail of each leg inside each joint, against the bottom of the slats 2 by 2 inches. Hold each leg in place. When the glue is set, drill a hole 5/8 inch through the bed frame and leg and secure the leg to the table with a 6-inch long thick 5/8 bolt and a nut. Support of bed and screw each rung of the ladder at the foot of the bed, spaced evenly between the two legs.
